WOW – home cleaning clubs in Ghana

Developed in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Cornell University, SC Johnson launched the WOW business in 2012 with the objective of reducing the transmission of malaria through the creation of a financially sustainable distribution channel that delivers repellents and insecticides to rural Ghana. WOW™ is a membership-based program whose products and services aim to help low-income homemakers care for their homes and families.

Role: Product and Business Consultant

Trained the Ghana-based team in business model and product development methodologies and served as an advisor to the project directors from SC Johnson and Cornell. Researched membership-based business models and advised the team leaders on validating key assumptions and testing consumer demand for services.
